Q: my 5 year old son has been telling me that his legs hurt.. this started a while ago.. maybe a two years ago. its usually in the middle of the night.. the doc said it was just growing pains.. but the other night he woke up really crying cuz he said his leg hurt so bad.. i gave him some Tylenol and rubbed his leg and knee.. then he eventually went back to sleep... my question is.. has any one else s children had this type of complaint?? did the doc say the same thing??i know i used to get growing pains in my leg in the middle of the night...
A: Yes, my son is not even 5 yet, and he's gotten those. And I even remember as a kid getting them, and they hurt! You're doing all you can. And just talk to him about it, so he knows you understand the pain he feels. That's all we can do.
