How difficult is it to be a mother if you suffer anxiety, depression, & OCD?

Q: I'm not pregnant yet. But in the future, I want to get married & have kids. I'm 25, single, with no kids yet. Many people tell me I won't be able to handle it. Is it because of my depression why they tell me that? & if my depression is bad (I can't even get out of bed most days), like it is now, would CPS take my kids away? I don't want that to happen. I hope to have a supportive husband who will be there for me & the baby, who will fight to keep our kids. I also heard that it's more stressful if you have a 2-yr. old hyperactive child, & pregnant with another 1. If a mother is suffering post-partum depression shortly after the baby is born, what's the probability or chance of the baby getting taken away? I knew this young woman who gave birth to a baby & before the baby was 10 days old, it was taken into state custody. I feel bad because I can't live normally like other people, & my depression is so disabling. I'm here in the US. Texas. I see a psychiatrist & take 300 mg of Wellbutrin & also see a counselor. The doctor & counselor are helpful, but my symptoms are still the same. I feel like the Wellbutrin doesn't help. I also suffer Tourette's.

A: Wellbutrin has been shown to make people moody. I suggest get your hormones checked out and try all you can to get a handle on it before having children since our hormones naturally go out of wack when we are pregnant. Try to get to the bottom of your issues and try to resolve them. Also, exercise and enhance your immunity with plenty of antioxidants.
