Q: so im almost 36 weeks and the baby has dropped but Im still getting kicked in the ribs. It hurts so bad cause Im guessing shes pretty big by now and im only 5'1 and now 119lbs. I thought since she dropped I wouldnt get jabbed so hard? Im so uncomfortable and cant wait to meet my little angel but geez! i was 100 pounds pre pregnancy. Do you think I can get my doc to induce in a couple weeks? because im so small?
A: Induction is something you are going to have to talk to your doc about... some might do it but some won't think it's worth the possible complications if you and baby aren't at risk, when the baby could just come on her own soon. The baby really doesn't get much bigger after 37-38 weeks so I don't know if your size would be a reason for induction, although if the baby gets a little bit bigger maybe she will run out of room to kick you so hard! Just complain to your doc about it and see what he/she says. I'm 5'3" and 96 pounds pre-preg (103ish now at 23 weeks) so I hope I don't run into that problem although I think height is more of a factor than overall build? I already feel like I'm starting to run out of room in here! =) Congrats in advance, hope all goes well!
